Millions of people in Africa depend on their livestock. Vétérinaires Sans Frontières supports and trains local African farmers to keep their animals healthy. This allows them to build a better future for themselves and their communities.
In Malawi, we train animal health workers. They help farmers keep their herds healthy. Animals, training, equipment and animal health care allow them to produce enough food for themselves and for the market.
In the Netherlands, we raise awareness about sustainable livestock and food production. We lobby for decision-making in favour of small-scale farmers in Africa. We also involve veterinarians and veterinary students.
