Jolanda Jansen is co-owner of St Anna Advies. She is an experienced and inspiring speaker, trainer, researcher and communications consultant with a focus on behavioral change in the veterinary and agricultural domain. Both nationally and internationally, Jolanda helps policy makers, companies, veterinary practices and educational institutions to communicate more effectively.
Jolanda studied Animal Science and Communication and Innovation Studies at Wageningen University, the Netherlands. In 2010 she obtained her PhD for research into effective communication strategies to improve the udder health of dairy cows and was one of the first in the Netherlands to study the communication skills of cattle veterinarians. She then worked as a communications consultant for Wageningen Livestock Research in addition to her employment at St Anna Advies. Since 2014 she fully focused on her activities for St Anna Advies and became co-owner in 2019.
Jolanda writes columns and scientific articles and is co-author of ‘Communication in Practice. The vets manual on clienthusiasm’ and the more recent book on dealing with difficult communication situations in the veterinary clinic.

Jolanda is married and the proud mother of three daughters. In her spare time, she enjoys the surroundings of Wageningen by foot or on horseback and loves skiing and ice skating in the winter.
